PortalUniverse is a multi-national J2EE application development company, specialising in Oracle technology,
with a regional focus on Africa and the Middle East.
We offer a variety of solutions focussed around the Oracle Application Server & Database product suites.
We are focussed on the success of our clients – many clients have become business partners, where risk was shared and we now jointly reap the rewards of the commercialization of their solutions.
In line with our expansion plans the company Head Office has recently been relocated to the island of Mauritus.
Mauritius, "The Digital Island", is poised to become the premier regional ICT hub for Africa and the Middle East. The different prerequisites
have been meticulously assembled to make Mauritius a viable offshore location for ICT activities. Its competitive advantage lies in its
ability to provide important cost savings which enhance the profitability of companies.
State-of-the-art infrastructure, a well developed
telecommunication network, enabling legal framework, skilled & bilingual manpower and ease of doing business give an edge to Mauritius
in the global IT market place.
PortalUniverse has also concluded a commercial transaction with the State Bank of Mauritius whereby we are now positioned to provide regional payment
processing services as a Payment Service Network, offering both Card Not Present and Card Present payment processing services to Africa
and the Middle East.
In conjunction with the above, a software development centre of excellence, focused on Java / J2EE & Oracle technologies, is in the process
of being established on the island.
This will be achieved through the recruitment and training of suitable software developers from within the ranks of Mauritian nationals.
As a company we are fully committed to training and employing suitable local candidates for as many positions as possible, this being our contribution
to the Mauritian government's "Knowledge Economy" initiative.
