Creative Designer / Web Developer
Sophisticated transactive systems rely upon User Interface Design to elevate their technical complexity to
a usable product. Technology alone may not win user acceptance and subsequent marketability. While
our Software Developers focus on the technology, we require the services of a Creative Designer / Web Developer
to focus on product usability and visual impact.
The position demands a graduate from a design school with a creative eye and hand illustrator skills,
along with a working knowledge of design tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator, Flash / Dreamweaver. Candidates
must be able to present a portfolio illustrating both their creative / artistic design and technical web development skills.
The role will suit an enthusiastic and talented Graphic Designer with a strong web bias, willing to
over perform and develop their artistic and UI design skills within a busy and exciting environment.

Software Developer(s)
Developing sophisticated systems demands very high levels of planning, design and systems integration
skills. Software Developers at PortalUniverse have great opportunities to build upon their existing skills
in the exciting and challenging world of Internet based commerce systems.
Our Software Developers typically have graduated in an I.T. related discipline and have at least 2 – 3
years experience where they have gained practical experience of implementing software applications using
Java J2EE technology. Experience in Oracle, PL/SQL and scripting languages are also an advantage.
This role will suit open, outgoing, technically minded applicants with enthusiasm and a desire to succeed.
Full training is provided in the PortalUniverse product family and related technologies, together with

Accounting Clerk
A part time accounting position is currently available. Under direction, the Accounting Clerk plans and
organises the work of maintaining a variety of accounting or bookkeeping records, controls and financial
reports. The successful candidate will have:
- previous accounting office experience
- a good knowledge of Mauritian (company & personal) income tax structures and VAT
- the ability to prepare a set of financial accounts to draft stage
