eCOMMERCE PAYMENT PROCESSING SOLUTIONS
The PortalUniverse Online Payment Gateway is a PCI SDP (Payment Card Industry Secure Data Processing)
certified, multi-currency, software based payment switch. Clients using our payment gateway can offer a

Accept Credit Cards Online
Interfacing to the payment gateway may be achieved via either SOAP based web services or a simple
Hosted Payment Page. The mechanism of choice is typically dependant on the merchant's eCommerce system
and their access to technical resources. Airlines using the Amadeus eTravel product may integrate seamlessly
via our pre-built Amadeus Light Open specific PSP interface.
Regardless of the method chosen our merchant services dashboard provides advanced reporting on
successful and failed transactions, as well as log files that address hourly, daily or monthly
transaction volumes.
A unique feature of our payment processing solution & payment switch is that we have the ability
to accept any amount of value added MIS data in conjunction with the payment instruction. This allows clients
to marry the business data that originated the payment transaction with the raw payment data.
Clients may use this value added MIS data gathering & reporting capability to tailor their payment
processing needs by performing custom velocity checks per transaction in conjunction with currency
specific / BIN range dependant routing to multiple acquirers per client, if needed.
Call center payment processing
To cater for needs of clients running call centers, our back-office interface provides full VPOS (Virtual
Point of Sale) capabilities. This allows clients to configure users & user roles, whereby call center
agents may be allocated VPOS and / or Refund functionality. All transactions include full audit trailing and
the ability to capture value added MIS data as per the clients payment processing profile.
Accept Debit Cards Online
Payment for goods using PIN based Debit Cards as the settlement instrument of choice is the fastest growing
card sector in the world at present. PIN based Debit Card settlement offers merchants a number of benefits such
as Zero Chargeback and NO Risk.
Traditionally it has not been possible for online merchants to accept these
card types as the PIN required to authenticate the payment may not be entered into a web interface. Our Home ATM
product (pictured to the right) allows eCommerce merchants to provide their clients with the Home ATM device, which,
when connected to the end users PC, allows for PIN based Debit Cards to be accepted online.
